Joann M. Buchan, 35, North Lighthouse Drive, Warsaw, complained of pain in her right shoulder and arm, her jaw and her right leg. She was taken to Parkview in Warsaw for treatment of her injuries.

The accident happened at about 5:16 p.m. Saturday.

Buchan was a passenger in a blue 2011 Ford F-350 pickup, driven by Jaiden M. Wade, 19, Lighthouse Drive, Warsaw. Wade is deaf and could not answer police questions, according to a crash report by the Warsaw Police Department.

Buchan told police that Wade was driving north on Buffalo Street and attempted to turn right onto Prairie Street. Wade took the corner too fast and had to swerve to avoid hitting a vehicle facing westbound on Prairie Street. When the F-350 swerved, Wade hit the accelerator and continued eastbound on Prairie Street.

The pickup left the road and hit a silver 2001 Volkswagon Passat, owned by Jesus M. Pacheco Rosales, East CR 200N, Warsaw, and then continued east and hit the west side of the home at 104 E. Prairie St., Warsaw, belonging to Larry R. Long.

The Passat was facing south in the parking lot of 601 S. Buffalo St.

When the pickup hit Rosales’ car, the car was pushed into a blue 2001 Mercedes ML3, owned by Jose F. Saucedo, North Zimmer Road, Warsaw, which was parked directly south of the Passat.

Rosales’ car sustained damage to the rear passenger side bumper area and the front bumper area. Saucedo’s vehicle had damage to the rear bumper.

Damage was estimated at $50,000 to $100,000, the WPD report states.
