The Edgewood Middle School National Junior Honor Society recently picked apples at a local apple orchard to donate to a food bank. The students picked 1,013 pounds of apples in an hour. These apples were shipped to the large food bank in Fort Wayne because the local food banks already have received lots of apples. The students’ efforts enabled this local orchard to have a wider impact beyond its own community.
