Robert Lee Pickens was back in a Kosciusko County court room Thursday morning, this time to hear his sentence.
Pickens, 34, of Warsaw, was convicted Oct. 19 of dealing in methamphetamine, a Class B felony, and being a habitual offender. Kosciusko County Circuit Court Judge Rex L. Reed sentenced Pickens to 15 years, with no jail credit time on count one of dealing in methamphetamine. Pickens was further sentenced to 15 more years for being a habitual offender. The sentences are to run consecutive to each other.
Pickens was found guilty of selling methamphetamine to a confidential informant through a staged buy Feb. 13 in Leesburg. He sold the informant just more than a half-gram of powdered methamphetamine before Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers arrested him.
