Physicians Urgent Care Opens in Warsaw

Posted
Physicians Urgent Care celebrated the grand opening of its clinic in Warsaw Friday with Mayor Joe Thallemer and members of the Warsaw Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce.
The new 4,250-square-foot clinic at 2680 Escalade Way is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. The walk-in clinic is equipped with X-ray capability, lab testing and six exam rooms – including a pediatric room and trauma room – for treating non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses and performing minor surgical procedures.
Compared to the national average, Kosciusko County has half as many primary care physicians to serve its population,  according to 2013 rankings by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation reported in the announcement from Physicians Urgent Care.
“When someone in Warsaw can’t get in to see their doctor or it isn’t severe enough for the ER, we’re here to help,” said Dr. William Schuler, on-site physician who is board certified in family medicine, in the announcement. “At Physicians Urgent Care, we make it easier for primary care doctors to focus on preventive care and chronic condition management by attending to patients’ unexpected, urgent care needs.”
He also said they can treat children quickly and comfortably when they can’t get in to see their pediatrician, especially on evenings and weekends.
At visitphysicians.com/warsaw, Warsaw-area patients can see current wait times and check in online before arriving, and they can learn more about the education and certifications of the physicians and physician assistants. They can also see what insurance is accepted.
For the one in five Kosciusko County residents who are uninsured, according to the announcement, Physicians Urgent Care openly publishes a three-tiered pricing plan online with set rates so patients know what to expect without worrying about billing surprises.
“We’re excited to be here in Warsaw, our sixth clinic in Indiana including Fort Wayne and South Bend,” said Robert Ratini, Physicians vice president of operations. “In addition to providing urgent care services, we also help thousands of businesses control their health care costs, treating injuries that happen at work and handling drug or alcohol testing and pre-employment physicals.” Physicians Urgent Care, the ninth largest private urgent care provider in the nation, has been serving employers in many industries for more than 25 years.
