ANDERSON - Phyllis L. Moon Dragoo, 86, of Anderson, passed away Dec. 1, 2011, in St. John’s Health System, Anderson, after a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 15, 1925, in Tipton, to Bernie Sr. and Frances Fox Moon, who preceded him in death. On May 1, 1943, she married Marvin Dragoo, who preceded her in death.
Living in the Tipton area since 1943, she was a homemaker and a member of Mounds Baptist Church and the church Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are her children: Janet (and spouse Jim) Breece, Sebring, Fla.; Diana (and spouse Jerry) Wooldridge and Sheila Blake, all of Anderson; Marsha Molnar, Colorado; and Marvin Jr. (and spouse Pam) Dragoo, Warsaw; brothers, Don (and spouse Joyce) Moon, Noblesville; Burnie Jr. (and spouse Susie) Moon, Kokomo; and Dean Moon and David (and spouse Ree) Moon, all of Kokomo; sisters, Joan Barnes, California, Becky (and spouse Chet) Brittain, Kokomo; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Moon; a sister, Anna Mae McNew; and a great-granddaughter, Alicia Breece.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, with Pastor Cliff Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
