BOURBON – Phyllis L. Lytle, 88, of Bourbon, died Sept. 13, 2011, in Bremen Health Care.

She was born Nov. 1, 1922, to William and Laura Roberts Nye. On Oct. 26, 1940, she married Robert Lytle, who died Dec. 11, 1981.

A Bourbon area resident most all her life, she was a homemaker and formerly worked at Orthopedic Equipment Co., Amish Acres and was custodian at the Bourbon Public Library. She attended Bourbon First United Methodist Church when she was able.

Surviving are three daughters, Sheron (and spouse James) Knepp and Rose Ann (and spouse Stephen) Hall, all Bourbon, and Diane (and spouse Garford) Mauk, Fredericksburg, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary (and spouse John) Nafrady, South Bend. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, two grandsons, a sister and four brothers.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, with her grandson, Glenn Knepp, officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.
