Phyllis Jean Longenecker, 69, died at 11:50 p.m., Feb. 7, 2008, at Goshen General Hospital.

She was born May 19, 1938, in Milford, to Elmo and Bertha Draper Burson. On Feb. 3, 1956, in Warsaw, she married David Longenecker, who died March 6, 2007.

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she was a homemaker. She graduated from a three-year art program at Famous Artists Schools in May 1965. She painted realistic paintings which she sold across the United States and overseas. She was a member of Warsaw Indiana Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Surviving are a son, Aaron Leon (and spouse Debbie) Longenecker, Warsaw; two daughters, Carmen Elaine (and spouse Steve) Hoover and Cassendra Renee "Cassie" (and spouse Anthony) Greene, all of Leesburg; two grandchildren, Brian (and spouse Jamie) Longenecker and Brandon Longenecker, all of Warsaw; and one great-granddaughter, Emily Longenecker. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Brett Duane Longenecker, and a brother, Kenneth Trayler.

Services will be Feb. 16 at 3 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Warsaw, with Elder Ramone Salazar officiating. Burial will be in Oswego Cemetery.

Calling is one hour prior to the service at the church.

Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
