Phyllis J. Evans, 77, died at 12:10 a.m. Dec. 1, 2007, in Peabody Retirement Community, where she resided.
She was born to Charles Fay and Marie Secor Baugher. On Jan. 29, 1949, she married Russell Evans, who died in 1978.
She lived in Warsaw most of her life until moving to Peabody four years ago. She was a school secretary for Whitko Schools and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Warsaw.
Surviving are two daughters, Terry (and spouse Lew) Collier, Pierceton, and Traci (and spouse Michael) Heath, Warsaw; a son, Randy (and spouse Erin) Evans, Warsaw; three granddaughters, Jill (and spouse Scott) Wake and Katelyn and Kirsten Heath; two grandsons, Jason (and spouse Wendy) Collier, and Luke A. (and spouse Shana) Collier; and three great-grandchildren, Halley and Tyler Collier and Ashley Wake.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Don Poyser officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
