Phyllis J. Abbett, 80, Warsaw, passed away Nov. 6, 2014, at her residence. She was born June 4, 1934, in Huntington County, to Robert and Marie Taylor Henmyer. On June 6, 1952, in Huntington, she married Phillip L. “Phil” Abbett, who survives in Warsaw. She grew up in Huntington and graduated in 1952 from Huntington High School. She moved to the Warsaw area in 1956 from Huntington. She was formerly employed at the Kosciusko County courthouse as a custodian, worked at Tippecanoe Country Club in Leesburg and cleaned homes for many years. She was a member of the Country Bible Church, North Webster, and formerly attended the North Webster Church of God. Also surviving is a daughter, Brenda (and spouse Gus) Ditsch, South Bend; and a sister, Carol Baugher, Fresco, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Belinda and Sheila Abbett; and a son, Todd Abbett. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Country Bible Church, 4782 N. CR 850E, North Webster, with Pastor Myron Drent officiating. Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the church. Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, is in charge of arrangements.
