Phyllis Elaine Rash, 72, Bluffton, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, at her home.
On Jan. 16, 1949, she was born in Warsaw to Raymond R. and Phyllis I. Lindzy Newby. She was united in marriage to Dennis Rash on March 19, 1971. He survives.
She loved to crochet, tend her flower garden and visit the casino. But most of all, she enjoyed visiting her children and grandchildren every week. She had a day set aside out of the week for each family. When visiting family and friends, they were her first topic of conversation.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Rash, Bluffton; daughter, LeAnn (David) Lawrence, Bluffton; sons, Brett (Angel) Rash, Decatur; Craig Rash, Bluffton; eight grandchildren; two great-granchildren; sisters, Beverly Hay, Warsaw; Carol (Ron) Wood, Warsaw; Donna (Rod) Jordan; Melody (Tom) Sands, Indianapolis; Pamela (Mark) Hartman, Lafayette; and brother- and sister-in-law, Tom (Elaine) Rash,?Decatur.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry; a sister, Laura; and her parents.
A private funeral service was held in Decatur on Wednesday, March 4. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Linn Grove.
