Phyllis Caroline Whitesell, 90, passed away at 6:55 a.m. May 6, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born Feb. 13, 1923, in Warsaw, to W.L. and Mary O. Hontz Ringgenberg. On Feb. 28, 1940, she married Ralph T. Whitesell, who died Oct. 31, 1995 She graduated from Pierceton High School and was a janitorial, cleaning doctor’s offices. Surviving are four nieces: Gloria J. Tenney and Bertha Mantey, both of Warsaw; Barbara Gibson, Kokomo; and Rose Weir, Boca Raton, Fla.; a brother, Eugene Ringgenberg, Palmetto, Fla.; and several great-nieces and -nephews. She also was preceded in death by a son, Ralph E. Whitesell, who died Jan. 6, 2007; a sister, Willowdean; and her parents. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Bob Jarboe of Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
