ROCHESTER – Phillip Noel Nafziger, 67, of Rochester, died at 3:01 p.m. April 18, 2012, in Woodlawn Hospital. He was born Aug. 15, 1944, in Kansas City, Mo., to Roland Wesley and Alberta Beck Nafziger. On July 4, 1992, in Rockford, Ill., he married Roxanne Spires, who survives. A loyal and devoted employee of AIRVAC, he served in the capacity of environmental manager until his retirement in January 2012. He served on the Fulton County Parks Board. He was a member of the Eagles Moose and Elks Fraternal Lodges, serving as trustee on the Elks board for many years. Also surviving are a son, Roger Nafziger (and companion Laurie Hale), Prosper, Texas; and a brother, Roger (and spouse Nancy) Nafziger, Tombal, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. A celebration of life will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Alejandra’s, 2077 Main St., Rochester.
