SYRACUSE - This year be sure to make the Patriotic Pops concert by the Fort Wayne Philharmonic part of your family's summer Independence Day celebration.
This free concert will take place July 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Oakwood Christian Retreat and Conference Center on Lake Wawasee, Syracuse. Donations will be accepted during the concert to help underwrite expenses.
The concert will be conducted by the Philharmonic's associate conductor, Bradley Thachuk. It will feature a series of patriotic songs, show tunes and family favorites including the "Armed Forces Salute," "Boogie-Woogie Bugle Boy" and the "1812 Overture." Bring the family, a blanket and lawn chairs, and enjoy music performed by the area's premier symphony orchestra, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.
