Philharmonic Orchestra Returns To Warsaw

A favorite among regular Lakeland Community Concert Association ticket holders, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra is returning to Warsaw.
The Orchestra will entertain Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. at the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center. The orchestra will perform its Holiday Pops Concert.
According to the Phil’s website, tickets are $20 for adults, free for children with adult ticket purchase, and will be sold at the door while they last.
Conductor will be Sameer Patel.

After the Orchestra, there are two shows left in LCCA’s 2011-12 season.
Purdue Glee Club returns to town March 31 at 7:30 p.m. at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Winona Lake.
According to information provided by the LCCA, “With integrity, passion, unparalleled showmanship and attention to every detail, the men of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club have proudly served as ambassadors of the university with honor and dignity for more than 115 years.
“This dynamic musical troupe employs a versatile repertoire including gospel, vocal jazz, swing, contemporary hits, romantic ballads, classical choral selections, barbershop, folk melodies, patriotic standards, familiar opera choruses, country and novelty tunes, and utilizes small groups and outstanding soloists to further enhance each show.”
Lastly, Redhead Express comes to the Rodeheaver Auditorium, Winona Lake, April 10 at 7:30 p.m.
The Walker family, from Alaska via Branson, Mo., are equally at home playing straightforward bluegrass as they are playing their own unique renditions of old-time and gospel music.
This wholesome family showcases their four daughters’ harmonies and original songs. Mom and Dad add vocal depth and back up, and occasionally feature their three young sons.
Subscription fees are $40 each for the entire LCCA season. Children, 18 years old and younger, may attend free when accompanied by an adult member. A 10 percent discount is available for groups of 20 or more individuals.
LCCA subscription cards are honored at Community Concerts in Kendallville, LaPorte, Kokomo and Portage.
Subscription applications for the 2011-12 concert season, which include the subscriber’s name, address, city, state, zip and phone numbers, can be mailed with check payable to LCCA to: LCCA, Attn: Grant Magner, 407 S. Indiana St., Warsaw, IN 46580.
Individual concert tickets are available at the door while they last.Patron gifts are essential to the success of the series. Names of patrons will be printed in program inserts for each LCCA concert. Categories of gifts are defined as: Platinum, $1000 or more; Director’s Club, $500 to $999; Sponsors, $200 to $499; Donors, $100 to $199; Contributors, $50 to $99; and Friends, $15 to $49.
