I would like to advise other readers that the recent pet food recall has been updated and now includes Alpo canned food with certain lot numbers. The list can be obtained from the Purina Web site.
Out of approximately 20 cans we currently have, seven were from the affected lots. These were all purchased locally. Fortunately, our dog has only eaten one can to date, but obviously would have consumed more had I not noticed the statement regarding Friday's press release buried in an article on page 7 of Monday's paper regarding the pet food lawsuits. I'm certain other readers would have also appreciated a small notice in a more predominate place in the paper.
