Kathy Garber's third-grade class at Pierceton Elementary has been studying about simple and complex machines. Each student in the class was asked to invent a complex machine that is a game, a toy or does a job around the house. All inventions were to be made from recyclable items or anything already from their home that is not being used. The students in the picture with their inventions are (L to R): Royce Smith, a water wazzoo-help lifts water up; Alexis Hall, seed planter; Kaya Gore, laundry carrier; and Jack Ryan, trashbot.
