Third-graders of Pierceton Elementary recently visited the Safety Village/Survive Alive House in Fort Wayne. During the half-day visit, the students learned about fire safety education. The goal is ‘Saving Lives Before The Fire.’ While we were there we learned how to report a fire, what to do if we are at home when the fire occurs, and how to escape from our homes in the event that a door is blocked. We learned the importance of being prepared for an emergency. Pictured is Captain Carlos helping Mya Hinora hang and drop from a window while Kadance Kerst observes.
