Second- and third-grade students at Pierceton Elementary School treated their parents, grandparents, friends and community members to an evening of music Feb. 17. The second-graders presented a musical play titled 'A Year with Frog and Toad'. The presentation followed two friends from children's literature, 'Frog and Toad', as they shared fun times throughout the seasons of the year. The third-grade students presented a program with a patriotic theme. Veterans were honored, students sang patriotic songs and the children shared important facts about the flag. The third-grade Cub Scouts presented the colors while the entire audience joined the children in singing 'The Star Spangled Banner'. The PES music students are directed by Patricia Shoemaker. Pictured are second-graders Nick Meadows and Zachary Paulowicz as Frog and Toad and third-graders Makayla Bollinger and Bailea Tackett.
