Michelle Ball's fourth-grade class at Pierceton Elementary School recently completed a project of giving. Thanks to grant money from the Dekko Foundation's Learning to Give project, the fourth-graders were able to purchase items for U.S. service men and women who are currently in Afghanistan. Socks, toothpaste, Q-tips, sunscreen, Chapstick and Pringles were among the items students boxed and sent overseas. Students included some notes of thanks to arrive with these practical items that are scarce in remote places. Pierceton Elementary is grateful for the U.S. military.
