On Aug. 5, the Warsaw Parks Department held its Annual Family Carnival. Penguin Point, in cooperation with the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club, held its 36th Annual Big Wheel Race during the event. There were two divisions. Division 1 included 4- and 5-year-olds and Division 2 was 6- and 7-year-olds. Jim Brennan, with WRSW, was the master of ceremonies. There was a great turnout, and you could hear the parents cheering on their kids all the way downtown, according to a provided press release. Organizers thank all the helpers, parents and participants from this year’s Big Wheel Race. The Division 1 winners were: first place, Addison Shepherd; second place, Clark Patterson; and third place, Ryne Smith. Division 2 winners were: first place, Grant Paxton; second place, Kailynn Young; and third place, Christa Linnemeier.
