Emergency personnel responded to a small fire at the Lake Street Penguin Point in Warsaw Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported and the restaurant was closed at the time of the incident. According to Warsaw/Wayne Township Fire Territory Chief Mike Brubaker, a small fire broke out behind a fryer around 9:20 a.m. Tuesday. Warsaw/Wayne Township and Multi-Township EMS responded and the fire was extinguished within 10 minutes. Brubaker said the Kosciusko County Health Department was called to the scene to evaluate smoke damage and the establishment will be closed until clean-up can be completed. Damage is estimated at around $3,000 to $4,000.
