Paul W. Zile, 88, of 2177 Bluewater Drive, Warsaw, died at 5:40 a.m. March 1, 2008, in Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.

He was born May 2, 1919, in Silver Lake, to Earl and Hazel Bouse Zile. On Oct. 26, 1940, in North Manchester, he married Isabel M. Howard, who died in 2002.

He retired as co-owner of Leonard Supply-Superior School Bus Distributors, Silver Lake. He was a member of Winona United Methodist Church, Largo, Fla., and attended First United Methodist Church, Warsaw. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1942-43.

Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Music, Warsaw; a son, Paul E. "Ed" Zile, Silver Lake; a brother, Lowell Zile, Silver Lake; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and a brother.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Ed French officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, with military rites by members of Veterans of Foreign Wars 1126 and American Legion Post 49.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
