INDIANAPOLIS - Paul Troke, 77, of Indianapolis, died April 4, 2009, in Indianapolis.
He was born June 2, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio, to Thomas P. and Gladys Rudd Troke. He married Thelma Renner, who survives.
He grew up in Amo and graduated from Amo High School in 1949. He also graduated from Lain Technical College as a draftsman. He worked at Ford Motor Co., Indianapolis, for 34 years as a tool designer. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1951-55. He was a member of Charity Tabernacle.
Also surviving are his children, Butch (and spouse Wanda) Troke, Akron; Dan (and spouse Deb) Troke, Denver, Colo.; Tom Troke, Oxford, Ohio; Teresa (and spouse Joe) Sanders, Bloomington; grandchildren: Garrett Troke, Iraq; Stephanie (and spouse Chris) Hernkind, Titusville, Fla.; Heather Sanders and Hana Sanders (and T.C. Collier), Holli Sanders and Hunter Sanders, all of Bloomington; and Zachary Troke, Orlando, Fla.; a great-grandchild, Kit Collier, Bloomington; and two siblings, Dorothy (and spouse Roy) Starks, Plainfield, and Virginia (and spouse Pat) Chew, Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Troke.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Charity Tabernacle, 2700 S. Tibbs Ave., Indianapolis. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the tabernacle.
