DETROIT – Olympia Entertainment and Pacers Sports and Entertainment announced recently Paul McCartney will make his return to Bankers Life Fieldhouse July 14 at 8 p.m. for his “Out There” tour. He is returning to the city for the first time since 2002's “Back in the U.S. Tour,” and continuing a relationship with Indianapolis that includes his two performances at Market Square Arena in 1990, as well as two shows with The Beatles at the Indiana State Fair in 1964. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. and may be purchased at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse Box Office and by visiting Ticketmaster.com To charge by phone, call 800-745-3000. McCartney’s “Out There” tour will feature brand new, never-before-seen production and, as ever, hours of material from the most beloved catalog in popular music, with McCartney performing songs spanning his entire career – as a solo artist, member of Wings and, of course, The Beatles. Last year marked 40 years since Paul's premiere tour as a solo artist and these past four decades have seen him play in a range of venues and locations, including outside the Coliseum in Rome, in Moscow’s Red Square, at the White House, a free show in Mexico to more than 400,000 people and even a performance beamed into outer space. He’s played with his band of Paul “Wix” Wickens (keyboards), Rusty Anderson (guitar), Abe Laboriel Jr. (drums) and Brian Ray (bass/guitar) for more than 10 years.
