ARGOS – Paul Hensley, 78, Tippecanoe, passed away Nov. 19, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Nov. 30, 1934, in Gage, Ky., to Willard and Maudie Hensley. In 1955, he married the love of his life, Joyce Hall of Tippecanoe, who survives.
Paul was the oldest of 10. He and Joyce started Hensley Fabricating & Equipment Co. in 1962 in Tippecanoe. They designed and manufactured equipment for the feed and grain industry. In 1988, they began building bulk feed bodies and trailers, and today, Hensley feed trailers are running across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America and Australia. In 1972, he began serving the Lord and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ for the remainder of his life. His faith in God guided him through his personal life and business affairs and allowed him to accomplish all that he did. He, being a very humble man, never bragged about his success, but always gave the glory to God. Through honesty, integrity and honor, he touched the lives of so many around him.  He never led a life of extravagance, and always made sure that his family and employees were taken care of.
He loved life; he was an avid sportsman, camper, lover of the outdoors and one who loved to travel, especially to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. He was also a “silent” giver, many times making sure someone in need was taken care of without them knowing it was him. He believed in modesty and humility, and because of that, a life of legacy was left behind so that others may follow in his footsteps. The things he wanted to leave to his family, friends, employees and acquaintances was not money or things; it was values, faith in Jesus Christ and love for your fellow man.
Also surviving are four children: Gregg (and spouse Robin) Hensley, and Paula (and spouse Dale) Poisel, all of Tippecanoe; Pamela (and spouse Calvin) Pennington, Montpelier, Ohio; and Susan Hensley, Bourbon; four brothers: Jim (and spouse Pat) Hensley, Eugene (and spouse Connie) Hensley, Ron (and spouse Nancy) Hensley, and Richard Hensley; and five sisters: Phyllis (and spouse Lloyd) Howard, Linda (and spouse Jerry) Tolson, Wanda (and spouse Everett) Carroll, Fern (and spouse Randy) Snead and Cheryl (and spouse Brad) Pennington. He was a proud Grandpa to 12 grandchildren and a proud PaPa to 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ, 15676 Michigan Road, Argos.
Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, at the church.
