Paul Edward Seaman Jr., 83, of Milford, and formerly of Connecticut, died at 5:46 a.m. Dec. 14, 2012, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born Nov. 20, 1929, in South Bend, to Paul Edward Sr. and Roberta Thorpe Seaman. In October 1952, he married Sylvia Bassett, who survives. He graduated from Hartford High School in 1947 and was a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut Law School. He was employed by the State of Connecticut Police Department for 20 years, retiring in 1980 as a captain. Also surviving are three daughters: Patricia (and spouse Mark) Katzer, Milford; Debbie (and spouse Rex) Sheeley, Kimmel; Barbara (and spouse Allen) Schell, Arnold, Mo.; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcia Seaman, who died June 29, 1995. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Syracuse Cemetery with family officiating. No calling is planned.
