GOSHEN – Paul E. “Bud” Haines, 91, died May 26, 2014, in I.U. Health Goshen Hospital. He was born Feb. 25, 1923, in Kosciusko County, to Artie and Ida May Detterman Haines. On Feb. 23, 1947, in New Paris, he married Frances Tulley, who survives. A 1943 graduate of Warsaw High School, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a very active member of the New Paris Missionary Church since 1959. He worked for NIPSCO for 37 years as a lineman. Also surviving are four children: Michael (and spouse Christine) Haines, Clover, S.C.; Jo Ellen (and spouse Rex) Eisenhour, Syracuse; Rae Jean (and spouse Ivan) Anderson, Goshen; Patrick Haines, Elkhart; three grandchildren: Joshua and Caleb (and spouse Lori) Haines; and Travis (and spouse Charlotte) Eisenhour; and a great-grandson, Riley Haines. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sara Eisenhour; three sisters, Edith Wertenberger, Ethel Yarger and Helen Wagoner; and three brothers, Donald, Everett and Robert Haines. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, with the Rev. David Hackney officiating. Burial is in Violett Cemetery.
