Paul E. Blair, 78, of Warsaw, passed away at 8:35 p.m. May 6, 2013, in his residence. He was born April 4, 1935, in Johnson City, Ky., to Virgil and Lillie Castle Blair. On Sept. 10, 1954, in Prestonsburg, Ky., he married Anna J. Elliott, who survives. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for eight years. Living in Warsaw since September 1956, he was a supervisor at Fairmont Homes for 18 years, retiring in 1986. He was a loving and caring husband, greatest dad and a most loving papaw. He was a man of strength who his family could always depend on. He was known for saying he was worth a million dollars because he raised eight children and they were all healthy. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, gardening and camping. He was a great story teller and never knew a stranger. He loved his dog, Susie. Also surviving are two sons, Paul Jr. (and spouse Bonnie) Blair and William (and spouse Coleen) Blair, Warsaw; six daughters: Mary Hite (and Davin Setser) Hite, Warsaw; Margie (and spouse Doug) Redden, San Leon, Texas; Barbara (and spouse James) Bryant, McKinney, Texas; Debbie (and spouse Troy) Smith, Winona Lake; Kimberly (and spouse Lonnie) Taylor, Alvarado, Texas; and Jennifer (and spouse Danny) Hilliard, Mentone; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; and four sisters: Betty Lewis, Pierceton; Mamie Field, Warsaw; and Vergie Little and Geraldine (and spouse Thurman) Lafferty, all of Prestonsburg, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; two brothers; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Jimmy Shepherd of Shiloh Baptist Church, Ligonier. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
