Paul A. ShoemakerAKRON – Paul A. Shoemaker, 81, rural Claypool, died at 4:25 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
Paul was born April 1, 1940, in Gilead, Miami County, to Walter G. and Olga Zimmerman Shoemaker. He was married Nov. 26, 1982, in Rochester, to Bonnie J. Marti, who died March 16, 2016.
He served his country in the U.S. Army in the military police.
Visitation hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron. The funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
The internment will take place in the Hamlett Cemetery, Fulton County, with graveside military rites being performed by the Fulton County Honor Guard.
