Patty L. Shafer, 75, passed away at 10:04 p.m. Feb. 4, 2013, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, while surrounded by her loving children. She was born April 1, 1937, in Leesburg, to Lewis and Goldie Miller Plew. A lifetime Kosciusko County residence, she worked at White Metal and was a manager at Motel 6. She attended Warsaw Community Church. She enjoyed her family and friends, loved to cook and was a loving mom and grandma. Surviving are five daughters: Cindy (and spouse Joe) Robinson, Leesburg’ Pam (and spouse Derek) Halsey, Cromwell; and Deb Himes, Carolyn (and spouse Dan) Dye and Tammy Shafer, all of Warsaw; two sons, Doug “Heavy” Plew, Oswego, and Phillip (and spouse Wendy) Shafer, Leesburg; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Miller; two great-grandchildren; his parents, Lewis Plew and Goldie Sumpter; a sister, Nancy L. Miller, who died Sept. 14, 2012; and two brothers, Howard and James Plew. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Jeff Pfeifer of Warsaw Community Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
