Patricia Faroh Receives Teacher Of The Year AwardThe Fort Wayne-South Bend Diocese of Catholic Schools has an award called the “Light of Learning Award.” It honors one teacher from each school per year for every school in the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend Catholic Schools. The nomination criteria is that a teacher has taught at a diocesan school for two years, is licensed and full-time. The teacher is a model of Christ to the school community; knowledgeable of subject matter; keeps up-to-date on best practices in teaching and learning; able to motivate students academically; involved in extracurricular activities within the school; is able to relate well to students; is able to manage a classroom and commands respect of students. Sacred Heart School announced the winner of the award for the 2018-19 school year is Patricia Faroh. Parishioners, parents, faculty/staff and the student body were present for the celebration.
