Patricia A. McLallin, 86, of Ligonier, died at 6:30 p.m. March 24, 2011, in Northridge Village, Albion.
She was born March 10, 1925, in Kendallville, to Paul Eugene and Leone Castor Richards Warford. On June 20, 1943, she married Gerald W. McLallin, who preceded her in death in 2008.
She was a lifelong area resident and had farmed with her husband for more than 50 years. Over the years, she was very active and supportive of the community, volunteering for various organizations. She also was a faithful and active member of Sparta Church for more than 68 years, during which time she taught adult Sunday School for 20-plus years.
Surviving are a son, Michael (and spouse Dianne) McLallin, Kendallville; a son-in-law, Ned Gardner, Buchanan, Mich.; four daughters: Penelope (and spouse Art) Johnson, Indianapolis; Paula Routson, Freeport, Ill.; Pia (and spouse Dan) Brauser, Irving, Texas; and Peggy (and spouse Eric) Genshaw, Syracuse; a sister, Dottie Grant, Richmond, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Prudence Gardner; her parents; and one brother, Richard Warford.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, with the Rev. Curryanne Hostetler officiating. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell.
Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
