As part of the Northern Indiana Lakes Festival, the Center Lake Conservation Association hosted the second annual Warsaw Aqua Mile Saturday. “Warsaw has a strong base of swims, and many of the best came out for this year’s race,” said Troy Turley, race director and Center Lake Conservation Association President. Jayden Parrett of Warsaw was the overall winner, finishin in 22:52.50. Ethan Cook, also of Warsaw, finished second overall in a time of 24:25.50. Category winners included Anna Parks (women’s swim suit), Erin Porter (women’s wet suit), Jayden Parrett (men’s swim suit) and Thaddeus Borchers (men’s wet suit). Olivia Herman, 12, and Delaney Wihebrink, 11, were the youngest competitors. Both are from Warsaw.
