Parkview Nurse Residency Program Receives Accreditation

FORT WAYNE – The Parkview Nurse Residency Program has earned accreditation from the Practice Transition Accreditation Program® (PTAP), which sets the global standard for residency programs that transition registered nurses into new practice settings.
The Parkview Nurse Residency Program supports registered nurses who recently graduated and are still in their first year of practice. The 16-month program helps accelerate nurses’ development, create an enhanced patient experience, and improve safety and quality.
PTAP accreditation is granted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), which also grants Magnet® recognition and ensures rigorous standards for nursing excellence. Parkview Health earned Magnet recognition in 2017.
