Children ages 2-10 will have the opportunity to celebrate Easter early this month.

The Warsaw Parks Department will hold its 22nd annual Easter Eggstravaganza March 31.

"This event is geared to encourage family-togetherness," said Activities Director Janelle Wilson.More than 4,000 plastic Easter eggs will be hidden in four Warsaw parks for children to find.

The Easter egg hunt for 2- to 3-year-olds will be at 11 a.m. at Kiddieland; 4- to 5-year-olds at 11:15 a.m. at Bixler Park; 6- to 7-year-olds at 11:30 a.m. at Municipal Park; and 8- to 10-year-olds at 11:45 a.m. at Central Park.

The eggs will be filled with candy and gift certificates to local businesses, and will be color-coated for each age group.

Children should bring baskets or bags to hold their eggs and prizes.

Wilson said there will be roving clowns from Custom Ranch Possum, Claypool, and parents and relatives can take pictures of their children with an Easter Bunny.

A wooden stand with two Easter eggs that children can put their heads through also will be available for relatives to take pictures of the children.

Inflatable games and a coloring contest will be held. Their drawings will be posted at Applebee's, Warsaw.
