Three nationally known artists will perform at this summer's Warsaw Park Department's Warsaw Classic Rock Concert.
Gary Lewis and The Playboys, Classic Rock All Stars and Felix Cavaliere's The Rascals will perform June 15 at Glover Pavilion.Janelle Wilson, activities director for Warsaw Parks department, said the department is excited to host the bands.
"I think these bands will go over well and we already have received phone calls from out-of-state residents who have seen on our Web site that the musicians will perform and want to attend," Wilson said.
The Blues and Barbecue concert will be July 13 at Glover Pavilion. Warsaw band Bottle of Blues will be the opening act. Other acts slated to appear include Brad Kelsey and Triple Tornado, Fort Wayne, and James Cotton Blues Band.
The country concert will be July 27 with Carolina Rain and Sammy Kershaw.
Other bands that will perform include Music Express, a '40s to '60s band, June 22; The Jay Kelly Band, a swing band, June 29; Northeast In Banjo Society, Dixieland, July 6; Junk Yard Band, an oldies band, July 20; Irish band Fonn Mor, Aug. 10; Bluegrass band Flintlock, Aug. 17; Bel Airs, Aug. 24; and Vocal Chaos, a cappella, Aug. 31.
