The Warsaw Parks and Recreation Board discussed 2001 budgets Tuesday.
Activities director Andy McCleary requested a 12 percent wage increase.
"It is strictly a proposed budget," Gail Bryan, Warsaw Parks and Recreation office manager, said of McCleary's request.
She said McCleary's proposal is one "that we hoped to have. (We want to) bring his salary up to par (with the rest of the employees)."
Bryan said McCleary became full time Sept. 1997 and worked part time "the summer before that."
As to rumors of McCleary getting an assistant, Bryan said: "Not that I know of."
