Posted

The Warsaw Bowling Association will host its Hall of Fame Banquet at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Shrine Building.

Billy Joe Newsome, Darrell "Peanut" Jordan, Dave Henderson, Dick Sisk, Sue Anders and Merline Hensley will be inducted to the Hall of Fame.

Parker Bohn III, an American Bowling Congress Ambassador, will be the featured speaker. Bohn has earned more than $1.7 million in the Professional Bowling Association tour, and he curently ranks fifth on the PBA career all-time money list. In addition, Bohn's peers have elected him to receive the PBA Steve Nagy Sportsmanship Award a record four consecutive years.

Bohn has earned more than $100,000 in 10 of the last 11 years on the tour, including eclipsing the $200,000 mark in 1997.

During the 1998 ABC Masters telecast on CBS at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nev., Bohn achieved perfection by rolling only the 12th-ever televised 300 game.

In 1999, Bohn became one of only 12 players in PBA history to capture 20 titles with his victory at the Showboat Invitational. He was also the PBA Tour leader in average, money won, television appearances and titles in 1999.
