Park Board To Study Splash Park Proposal

Posted
Warsaw Park Board Tuesday will continue discussion on a proposed splash park in Warsaw.

Kosciusko Leadership Academy graduates Jeremiah Heierman, Kathy Stutzman, Aaron Christner and Lynne Dittman previously attended the board's meeting to discuss their proposal for a splash park in Warsaw.A splash park is an aquatic recreation system that provides combinations of interactive play for children and people with disabilities. It has no standing water and has an automated system where an individual presses a button or turns a nozzle on the equipment to signal the water to turn on.

At its April 21 meeting, the park board discussed possible locations for the proposed splash park.

One of the suggestions was Hire Park where there is undeveloped area to the east side of the BMX track.

The board will meet Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. at Nye Youth Cabin.
