Members of the Echoes of the Past participated Sunday in the parade to open the Kosciusko County Fair.
The parade, which started at the corner of Lake and Center Streets, made its way to the fairgrounds, passing many spectators along the route. The Echoes members were in the middle of the parade and featured tractors of all models. Several of the tractors featured passengers. Family members of those driving included wives, daughters and grandchildren helping throw out candy to the crowd.
The tractors will be on display until Friday evening in the Antique Village inside the fairgrounds. The Echoes of the Past will be in the Antique Village area hosting various events throughout the week. Sawmill demonstrations will be happening, as well as tractor-churned ice cream and over-the-fire cooking.
Following the fair, the club will be hosting the SummerFest Tractor Show and Pull on Aug. 1-2. The two-day event will feature tractor pulls, tractor driving, vintage farmhouse market, garden tractor pulls, mystery 5K race and more. Food will be available from Wheels on Fire Cancer Crusaders both days.
