Panthers Win 67-0

NAPPANEE -ÊNorthWood defeated Elmhurst easily in the first round of the football sectional Friday as the Panthers thrashed the Trojans 67-0.

NorthWood scored 33 points in the first quarter to knock the wind out of the Trojans early. Then the Panthers proceeded to score 20 points in the second quarter and seven points in the third and fourth frames.

Quarterback Charlie Roeder was 5-of-7 passing for 102 yards, while Chaz Scherer added three rushes for 58 yards.

The Panthers, now 9-1 on the season, will look to continue their postseason dominance when they face West Noble Friday in Ligonier.
