Warsaw Plan Commission Monday approved a development plan for a Culver's Restaurant in Warsaw.
Lennington Realty Group LLC, Fort Wayne, requested a 3,954-square-foot Culver's Restaurant be constructed on the southeast corner of the U.S. 30 and Parker Street intersection.
City Planner Jeremy Skinner said the commission will need to approve a preliminary and final plat for the restaurant at its February meeting. The petitioner will need to acquire a building permit from the state.
If the plats are approved, the restaurant will be built south of Menards, which is scheduled to open in April.
The Culver's development plan was approved with the following conditions: The development must comply with the city's erosion control ordinance, and all private drives must be completed.
The restaurant will be on 1.18 acres of land. Adequate parking will be provided with 52 spaces, including handicapped spaces, as well as landscaping requirements of one tree per 10 spaces.
Along with the project development, two private drives will need to be constructed in order to facilitate adequate ingress and egress of the property.
In other business, the commission elected commission members for 2009. Tom Allen will serve as president and Dan Hampton as vice president.
The commission will meet again Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. at city hall.
