ROCHESTER – Pamela G. Bower, 62, of 1221 College Ave., Rochester, died at 9:21 p.m. Sept. 25, 2011, in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.
She was born Jan. 25, 1949, in Gary, to Adelbert and Kathryn Smith Cool. In 1965, she married Carol Franklin. They later divorced. On March 21, 1970, in Newton County, she married Deloss Bower, who died in March 1985.
She had been a licensed practical nurse, working at Life Care Center, Rochester, and Hickory Creek and Prairie View, both in Warsaw, and had worked in Home Health Care for many years.
Surviving are her children: Doug (and spouse Wendy) Bower and Matt (and spouse Christy) Bower, all of Rochester; Andy Bower, Walkerton; and Curtis (and spouse Lora) Franklin, Mahwah, N.J.; 12 grandchildren; four sisters: Linda Powers, Westminister, Colo.; Jill (and spouse Keith) Whiting, Coatesville; Cindy (and spouse Rick) Cook, Lowell; and Jana Herre, Rensselaer; and two brothers, Lonnie (and spouse Doris) Cool, Lake Village, and Roger (and spouse Theresa) Cool, Brook.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester.
Calling is from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
