A painting of the Kosciusko County Courthouse, by W. Don Anglin, was dedicated Tuesday in the old courtroom at the courthouse.
The painting was created in 1952 and was eventually placed in the Thadius restaurant, which later became Wolfgang's. The painting stayed until the restaurant again changed hands.
The owners of the new establishment, the Blue Coyote, Gene and Beth Ann Gross, donated the painting to the county.
Now it rests in the county courthouse.
Anglin's family restored the painting for the courthouse and many family members were present for the dedication.
Kaye Donn Anglin, the painter's son, said that his father used to tell people that he would wake up on the courthouse lawn every morning - his bedroom had the only wall with enough room to hang the painting.
Avis Gunter, county commissioner, thanked the Grosses for the donation, the Anglin family for the restoration, and Reinholt's Furniture for transporting the painting.
