Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
Editor, Times-Union:
This is in response to the closing of the “Old Owen’s” store.
Owen’s sure are not thinking about the seniors of the community. I’m older. I can’t walk through the big stores anymore. How do they expect the older people to get their groceries? Oh, you say, just “ride a cart.” That’s doesn’t work – you have to get on and off the cart to reach anything!
What are the people who live at Retired Tigers supposed to do? Lots of people don’t have family close to help them.
It’s sure a sad situation when greed takes over. That’s what this is all about, “money.”
They say they aren’t busy enough. Well, whenever I have gone you can’t even find a place to park.
How sad is this?
The city wants everyone to shop local. Then you better think about the older people and help us out!
Guess I will have to go out of town to shop.
