The Alcoholic Beverage Commission approved one new beer and wine permit at its monthly meeting Thursday afternoon.
The Oswego Mini Mart, 2757 E. Armstrong Road, Leesburg, was given a permit.
Owners Samual and Vikki Spurgeon-Shaw were at the meeting to answer questions.
They told the board the alcohol would be placed at the back end of their store so anyone getting alcohol would have to go past the cash register.
The store can begin selling alcohol within the next couple of days as they will receive a letter of authority until their permit arrives.
The board renewed the following four licenses of businesses without any violations:
n Freedom Express, 750 S. Ind 13, North Webster.
n Lil's Anchor Bar, 101 W. Main St., Syracuse.
n Pizza King, 1039 E. Winona Avenue, Warsaw.
n Little Big Horn Golf Club, 5179 E. Old 30, Pierceton.
Members of the Kosciusko County Alcoholic Beverage Commission are Gordon Vanator, Elim Smith and Kenneth Johnson. Excise officer and board member is April Tackett.
