Oswego Man Faces Marijuana Charge

Posted

An Oswego man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly dealing marijuana to an undercover Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officer.

Phillip Edwin Johnson, 45, (whose address was listed as 2961 E. Clay St., Warsaw, in his jail booking) was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 7:07 p.m. Tuesday on charges of dealing marijuana. His bond is $2,000.

Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers made an undercover marijuana purchase from Johnson and then obtained a search warrant for Johnson's home.

While searching the home, officers found about 1 pound of marijuana, scales, paraphernalia and other items associated with the sale of marijuana.

Johnson was arrested once several years ago for dealing marijuana to an undercover officer and again in 2000 for possession of marijuana.

Anyone with information about illegal drug activity is asked to call the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force at 574-372-2494 or the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department at 574-267-5667.
