OSCEOLA – Osceola Bluegrass Festival 2012 is scheduled for this weekend. The three-day event is scheduled for Fern Hunsberger Park, U.S. 933, Osceola, between Elkhart and Mishawaka. The schedule of events starts at 5:30 p.m. Friday with Misty Mountain. Twenty Three performs at 6:15 p.m., with Dave White & Company at 7 p.m. Open stage jam session, bluegrass only is from 7:45 to 10 p.m. Twenty Three concludes the night at 10 p.m. Saturday, the opening ceremony is at 10 a.m., with the king and queen crowning at 10:30 a.m. Performances start at 11 a.m. with Patchwork, followed by Twenty Three at 11:50 a.m., Lonesome Meadow at 12:40 p.m., Eagle Creek at 1:30 p.m., Lonesome Country at 2:20 p.m., New Country Grass at 3:10 p.m., and Off “N” Running at 4 p.m. Patchwork takes the stage again at 4:50 p.m., Twenty Three at 5:40 p.m., Lonesome Meadow at 6:30 p.m., Eagle Creek at 7:20 p.m., Lonesome Country at 8:10 p.m., New Country Grass at 9 p.m. and Off “N” Running concluding the night at 9:50 p.m.Solid Praise Church starts off Sunday’s activities with services at 9:45 a.m. The stage will be reset and announcements made at 10:30 a.m. From there, UpHill Climb performs at 10:45 a.m., New Country Grass at 11:35 a.m., Debbie Werbrouch’s Apple Corps at 12:15 p.m., and then announcements at 1 p.m. The afternoon begins with Misty Mountain at 1:10 p.m., Sent at 2 p.m., Bus Kelver’s Frog Jumping Contest and UpHill Climb at 2:50 p.m., and New Country Grass concluding the day at 3:40 p.m. Boy Scouts will have an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 10 a.m. There will be food and crafts throughout the event.
