The Northeast Indiana Innovation Center will host an orthopedics conference on Sept. 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ramada Plaza Conference Center.

The conference, "Models for Orthopedic Innovation," is being chaired by Robin Young, publisher of the orthopedics industry newsletter, "Orthopedics This Week."

In addition to Young, the conference will feature a panel of industry experts and analysts discussing future directions and markets for the orthopedic industry. The panel includes Dr. Arthur Steffee (founder of Acromed), a pioneer of orthopedic surgery; Mike Sherman (MB Venture Partners), a prolific medical device inventor and venture capitalist; Brian Wong (First Albany Capital), a medical technology analyst; and James Dimos (Locke Reynolds LLP), an attorney in medical device liability and intellectual property.

Karl LaPan, President and CEO of the conference host, the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center, issued a special invitation to the many orthopedic industries in the Warsaw area to register and attend, "Models for Orthopedic Innovation is especially for orthopedic industry executives, engineers, and designers looking for new ways to invigorate their business, create new markets, develop new products, and gain fresh insights into the state and future of orthopedics in Northeast Indiana and around the world."
