Dr. Allison Bergdoll, from Dupont Orthodontics, visited South Whitley Elementary School fifth-graders March 11, sharing her knowledge of oral anatomy and health with students. Bergdoll and staff taught about the importance of oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups. She also explained what it takes to become an orthodontist or dental assistant. Students participated in a question-and-answer session where they learned some interesting facts about teeth and braces. Each student also received a toothbrush, paste and floss.
